Founded
by a core group of individuals with combined telecommunications
experience of over 100 years, Nicom opened its doors
in 1995. Becoming an Authorized Business Partner with
then Lucent Technologies in 1997, we have quickly
become a leader in the sale and service of both new
and refurbished Avaya telecommunications systems,
upgrades, and components.
Many of our trained professionals
have worked in the telecommunications business since
the inception of the secondary market in the 1980s.
With our foundation in the secondary market, Nicom
has continually expanded its operations to include
dealer and distributor agreements with several of
the most important telecommunications manufacturers
in the world. In 1998, Nicom was selected by Lucent
as one of the few authorized sources for their customer's
refurbished equipment needs. This special program
was known as the Authorized Remanufactured Supplier
(ARS) program.
With Avaya's focus on selling its
equipment and software through the Business Partners,
Nicom has stepped up its efforts and expanded its
resources to focus on providing telecommunications
solutions to the business community. In November 2003,
Nicom became an Avaya Silver Business Partner. Nicom
quickly moved to Avaya Gold Business Partner status
by May 2004 as we continued to develop technical and
product expertise. Additionally, in May 2004, Nicom
achieved Avaya's 3 Star Global Services status.
We are well prepared to support customers
with the converged technologies of voice and data
communications including wireless operations, unified
messaging and Voice over IP. |
