Nicom Technologies,
Inc., a business telephone system reseller of Avaya
Communications (formerly a division of Lucent Technologies),
is looking to fill several early-level sales positions.
Nicom sells communications solutions that enable businesses
to increase their operational efficiency, reduce cost
and improve customer responsiveness. This position
offers plenty of room for advancement within the company.
Account Development /
Lead Generation Sales Specialist will receive full
product training, sales skills development opportunities
and insight into various industries and business challenges.
Sales Specialist will be responsible for supporting
Sales Executives through sourcing, qualifying and
developing sales leads.
Nicom is a based in Syracuse, NY,
with regional offices throughout the country. Nicom
is one of a few Business Partners for Avaya Communications
to earn the Platinum certification, their highest
partner status. Nicom also just recently received
the Business Partner of the Year Award for 2004 from
Avaya, Inc.
Nicom is looking for a few highly
skilled and ambitious sales professionals to join
our Account Development team. The Account Development
team is responsible for working alongside our outside
account executives to grow existing sales territories.
Account Development Specialists will rapidly recruit
and qualify new mid-market business accounts through
heavy cold-calling and lead generation.

Qualifications
- Must be self confident and energetic
- Must have the organizational skills
to ensure proper management and follow-up of leads
generated
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to navigate databases and
other management approved lead sources
- Ability to use CRM software to
track activity and schedule appointments
Responsibilities
- Contact existing and prospective
customers, via the telephone
- Explain Nicom Technologies' products
and services to customers on calls
- Prospect, develop opportunities,
and prepare appropriate collateral
- Work closely with marketing, direct
sales, and territory sales in an effort to leverage
selling efforts in each area
- Communicate closely with AE's.
Attend territory meetings and lead discussions on
sales opportunities generated
- Must be proficient with MS suite
of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ambition with strong initiative
for success and teamwork a must
- Must have excellent written and
verbal communications
- Ability to engage in high-level
business conversations with prospective clients
- Previous telemarketing, telesales
or customer service experience highly desirable
but we will train the right candidate.
