The Avaya S8300 Media Server
with a G700 or G350 Media Gateway provides
a flexible solution for growing companies
seeking to streamline voice and data operations
over one networked infrastructure. It can
be used as a standalone solution for a small
business or as a remote edge device for
a larger enterprise network ranging between
8 to 450 stations.
The Avaya S8300 Media Server
resides inside a G700, G350 or G250Media
Gateway. It can be used as a standalone
communication system or as a fully surivable
remote gateway. The Avaya S8300 Media Server
can be the primary controller for up to
50 remote G250, G350 and G700 Media Gateways.
As with the Avaye S8500
and Avaya S8700 Media Gateways, the Avaya
S8300 Media Server has a Linux operating
system and runs Communication Manager. It
supports industry standard call control,
quality of service, and management functions,
and supports IP, digital, and analog endpoints.
