The
SG203 and SG208 Security Gateways integrate
advanced stateful firewall, VPN, bandwidth
management, and IP telephony management
capabilities for distributed mid-to-large
enterprises with IP contact centers or converged
voice/data networks.
The SG203/208 feature four
Ethernet interfaces and two industry-standard
Cardbus/PCMCIA slots for expansion. The
SG203 Ethernet interfaces are 10/100BaseT,
while the SG208 has 10/100/1000BaseTX (Gigabit
Ethernet). Two ports are reserved as private
and public interfaces. For flexibility,
the other ports can be configured as DMZ,
Semi-Private (supporting VPN termination),
back-up public, or management interfaces.
Separate firewall policies can be applied
for each interface, allowing the enterprise
to deploy security zones within the corporate
network, each with its own firewall access
policies.
