AP-8 tri–mode access point provides
100 mW transmit power to deliver excellent
range. The transmit power is adjustable allowing
modification of coverage in high-density client
areas. The AP-8 has built-in 2.4 and 5 GHz
antennas that provide coverage in both the
horizontal and vertical planes. It
supports the latest industry security standards
including Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and
is upgradeable to AES and 802.11i. Automatic
channel selection, adjustable transmit power,
and external antenna connectors are tools
that are included to ease the access point
deployment and to simplify management integration.
Secure management interfaces are also available
including: SNMP, HTTP and Telnet for remote
management. The tri–mode support provides
investment protection in this quickly evolving
technology arena.
